Supporting Your Journey to Recovery and Wellbeing

Compassionate, evidence-based counselling for addiction recovery, mental health challenges, and personal growth. Every journey is unique, and you don't have to walk it alone.

Why Choose Counselling?

Taking the first step toward counselling can feel overwhelming, especially when you're already struggling. You might be wondering if talking to someone will really help, or whether you're "ready" for this kind of support. The truth is, there's no perfect time to start—but there's no wrong time either. Counselling offers you a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment, while gaining practical tools to navigate life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with addiction, mental health concerns, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to face these struggles alone. Recovery and healing aren't about being "fixed"—they're about understanding yourself better, building resilience, and creating a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you. Every small step forward matters, and having someone walk alongside you who truly understands the journey can make all the difference.

FAQs

Common Questions

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, everything we discuss in our sessions is strictly confidential. What you share with me stays between us, and I'm bound by professional ethical guidelines to protect your privacy. The only rare exceptions are if there's a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or if there are safeguarding concerns—but if such situations arise, I would discuss this with you first whenever possible. Your trust and safety are my priority.

How long are counselling sessions?

Individual sessions are 50 minutes, whether online or in-person. I also offer walk and talk sessions in natural settings around Guildford and Godalming, which may vary slightly in length depending on the route and your comfort level. All sessions are scheduled to give you enough time to explore your thoughts and feelings without feeling rushed.

What issues can counselling address?

Counselling can help with a wide range of emotional and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I have particular expertise in addiction recovery and dual diagnosis support. Whether you're facing a specific crisis or simply feeling stuck and wanting to understand yourself better, counselling can provide valuable support and practical tools for moving forward.
